Architecture Form under Different Economic and Social Cultural Backgrounds——On the Comparison of Hakka Roundhouse and Huizhou Village

Abstract

As the two main groups of population migrated from north to south in the history of China, Hakka Nationality and Huizhou clans have not only similar historical backgrounds but also completely different architectural forms and community patterns. Through analyzing the difference between the two systems as well as comparing Hakka roundhouse and the folk residence of Huizhou, the papers explains that the economic and social cultural difference will influence the architectural form of the two traditional folk residences. 作為中國歷史上主要的兩支由北向南遷徙的人群,客家族和徽州宗族既有相似的歷史背景,又有截然不同的建筑形式和聚落形態。本文通過對這兩種體系的差異分析,以及客家圍屋與徽州民居和村落的比較,說明經濟和社會文化的差異會影響兩種傳統民居的建筑形態。
