AbstractThis paper presents a literature survey of single machine bicriteria scheduling problems. First a framework is proposed for classification of single machine bicriteria scheduling problems from four aspects, namely, nature of problems, machine environments, performance measures, and scheduling criteria. The survey summarizes related references with regard to scheduling criteria, characteristics, and solution methodologies. It concludes with some observations and further directions of single machine bicriteria scheduling research.
