AbstractWe propose a new technique to solve the integral equation for wave scattering by an axisymmetric inhomogeneity using the conjugate gradient (CG) method together with the fast Fourier-Hankel transforms (FFHT). The method uses fast Hankel transform (FHT) and fast Fourier transform (FFT) requiring only O(N log N) floating-point operations per iteration and O(N) storage.
