AbstractThis study investigates the influence of prior knowledge and task repetition on 60 EFL learners’ oral performance of narrative tasks. The findings indicated positive effects of prior knowledge and task repetition on fluency, accuracy and complexity. The research sheds lights on the use of tasks to develop the speaking skill.
