AbstractChina has launched two significant and impactful national strategic projects in recent years, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Initiative (GBAI). After the launch of the BRI and the GBAI, Chinese companies are open to more business opportunities domestically and globally. However, the deficiency of the legal system in regulating companies in China may expose them to higher legal risks leading to the detriment of the stakeholders.
