AbstractUsing papaya( Carica papaya L.)fruit as the experimental material, assay methods for l-aminocyclopropane l carboxylate(ACC)oxidase in vivo and in vitro were studied. In vitro, ACC oxidase activity could be stabilized by 10%~30% φ (glycerol), and could be increased by 0.3 %~20% φ (CO 2)(in the gas phase of reaction system) and by 0.5~12 mmol/L ACC. The optimum pH was 7.2 for ACC oxidase in vitro.
