AbstractBusinesses are evaluating how RFID enables real-time information look-ups and updates that can help them with logistics planning and business decision-making. What has been hindering the adoption of RFID in potential application domain, including supply chain and logistics, is a list of concerns such as security, complexity of the technology, and interoperability etc. In this paper, we present a technology adoption analysis framework with value integration capabilities that can be used to evaluate technology adoption. We will illustrate the use of this framework in a case study of Hong Kong's urging request of service and technology innovation for its supply chainbusinesses. © 2007 IEEE.
