Objectives
First, we will characterize the basic biochemical properties of C11ORF86, including its expression pattern, subcelluar localization, protein interaction partners and posttranslational modifications. Then we will explore the upstream signals and pathways that induce C11ORF86 expression, mainly including fasting-induced PKA-CREBH and PPARα/PGC1α pathways. Furthermore, we will define the anti-hypertriglyceridemic effects of C11ORF86 and its impact on steotosis. Finally, we will investigate the mechinam by which C11ORF86 lowers blood TG.
