Objectives
1) To conduct control experiments to collect data and information about the characteristics and behavior of a high-density crowd under panic conditions; 2) To formulate a dynamic macroscopic model that describes pedestrian movements in a panicked crowd; 3) To develop efficient numerical schemes that can be used to solve the dynamic macroscopic model.
