Objectives
We aim to develop a prodrug-based nanoreactor system that can produce hydrogen peroxide and chemotherapy drugs upon ultrasound application for efficient retinoblastoma therapy. Hypothesis to be tested: Ultrasound application can increase membrane permeability of polymersomes (nanoreactors) for glucose diffusion, which triggers the production of hydrogen peroxide and the release of camptothecin for synergistic oxidative therapy and chemotherapy.
