Objectives
Our published study and preliminary data showed that GREM2 is a susceptibility locus of osteoporosis. Its expression is induced by multiple key osteogenic molecules. Its circulating levels are potentially associated with BMD variation and reduced bone resorption. Therefore, the objectives of this proposal are to evaluate (1) the relationship of circulating GREM2 with bone metabolism in human; and (2) the role of GREM2 on osteoclastogenesis.
