Objectives
To determine the feasibility, potential efficacy and effect size of a personalised general health promotion approach to promote smoking cessation among smokers at a follow-up visit in a Special Out-Patient Clinic. Study design and subjects: A pilot randomised controlled trial will be conducted. A convenience sample of 60 Chinese smokers with chronic disease who participate in medical follow-up in a Special Out-Patient Clinic of an acute hospital will be recruited.
