Objectives
We have three stages/R&D outcomes: 1. To develop and laboratory test an aptamer-mediated point-of-care diagnostic prototype device and protocol for SARS-CoV-2 detection. 2. To produce 1000 electrochemical sensor chip samples sufficient for 1000 tests on saliva samples. 3. To conduct a blind prospective diagnostic accuracy cohort trial of the 1000 sample diagnostic tests at Queen Mary Hospital.
