Objectives
1. Investigating the combined effect of the various contextual changes brought about by the digital revolution on the legal interpretation of language crimes 2. Expanding existing work on language crimes and new media to the wider context of the changing ways in which people express themselves and interact with one another in the digital age 3. Based on case-driven cross-jurisdictional comparisons, evaluating the compatibility of existing approaches to online speech regulation with different rationales for free speech 4. Making recommendations about measures that are required to maintain a healthy environment for public discourse
