Objectives
1. to analyse the narrative forms the human experience of place and space has taken in history, and might take in a (post-)Covid era; 2. to contribute to current interdisciplinary debates in literary geography and geocriticism; 3. to show the applicability of geocritical, spatial and (human) geographical frameworks for analyses of pre-contemporary literature; 4. to intervene in the nascent sub-field of geopoetics by formulating the first theory of geopoetics; 5. to critically analyse a representative nineteenth-century author’s travelogues and novels through a geopoetic lens; 6. to complete three articles for submission to international, peer-reviewed journals.
