Objectives
1. To investigate new types of moiré superlattice systems, through: (i) a generic mechanism to generate superlattice potentials exploiting moiré ferroelectricity; (ii) the use of emerging van der Waals 2D antiferromagnets as new building blocks; and (iii) extending the simple triangular/hexagonal superlattice to the more complex energy landscapes. 2. To explore frontier topics in the context of new and existing moiré superlattices, including valley-spintronics, topological physics, quantum controls and quantum simulations, nano-optics, and multiferroics.
