Objectives
(1) To identify the prevalence of financial indebtedness among transnational households over time and investigate how it is related to parental migration trajectories; (2) To examine the impact of indebtedness on the health and well-being of children and other family members in origin countries (a) in the short-term ( 5 years); (3) To explore how the migration process, from pre-departure to return/reintegration, impacts on well-being and family sustainability over time in collaboration with key stakeholders and community partners; (4) To determine the short-term impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic on indebtedness, well- being and family sustainability in transnational households.
