Objectives
To monitor soil moisture changes brought about by rainstorm activity on selected slopes associated with various rock groups and vegetation types. Much of the work is based on field measurements carried out with a neutron soil moisture probe and related equipment. This would provide the framework against which the role of rain water in bringing about slope instability could be viewed in proper perspective.
