Objectives
Simple and efficient means of utilising monoclonal antibodies for diagnostic purposes will be developed. This involves the use of latex particles as an indicator of reaction in a novel tube method for the detection of antigen or antibody (including specific IgM) from test materials. The clinical conditions to be investigated will initially include normal human pregnancy, typhoid fever and viral gastroenteritis.
