Objectives
This study of recent Hong Kong development and its possible future growth is an analysis on a theoretical contract - a metropolitan transformation process specific to the newly industrializing countries. In particular, this study examines the inter-relationship between private initiative and planning actions in the urban development process, and the spatial pattern response.
