Objectives
To find out and to compare the incidence and disease pattern of high risk pregnancies in Guangdong and Hong Kong; to investigate the causes of these obstetrical complications based on data collected and to formulate further in-depth studies on the causes and possible preventive measures of specific types of high risk pregnancy; and to formulate a practical method to conduct a perinatal survey of internationally accepted standards in Guangdong province for comparison with the Hong Kong data.
