Objectives
Active application of micromotion to the fracture site at a specific healing stage has been proved to promote the callus formation, thus significantly shortening the healing time, and greatly reducing the failure rate of treatment. However, the effective parameters of this biomechanical stimulus are still unclear. This project uses the small animal model and the special experimental device developed in the early stage to optimize the parameters of micromotion to promote fracture healing and carries out product development through the cooperation between the universities and companies. This project aims to design a novel micromotion external fixation device with independent intellectual property rights and to promote the development of the high-end medical device manufacturing industry in Guangdong and Hong Kong.
