Objectives
Sjogren’s syndrome (SS) is a systemic autoimmune disease mainly treated by immunosuppressants with increasing doses. Due to the limited understanding of disease pathogenesis, current management of SS has suffered from a lack of effective treatments. Using our established mouse model of experimental SS (ESS), we identified the critical roles of T cell subsets, including T follicular helper (Tfh) cells in SS pathogenesis. However, currently there is no drug targeting Tfh cells in the clinical management.
