Objectives
(a) To propose and test various algorithm theories to develop a recommender system that can automatically provide personalized guidance for learners at different SRL phases. These include algorithms relating to data mining, and recommendation. (b) To develop an AI-based chatbot and integrate it into the SRL recommender system. The chatbot will interact with the participants by asking questions and offering personalized suggestions to each individual. (c) To evaluate the effects of the chatbot supported SRL recommender system on learners’ SRL skills; behavioral engagement, emotional engagement, cognitive engagement; sense of social presence; perceived usefulness; and perceived ease of use.
