Objectives
(1) To innovate and investigate roles of setting up a prefabrication yard for Hong Kongprefabricated housing production supply chain (i) to facilitate Just-In-Time cross-border logistics ofconstruction modules and fit-out materials, and (ii) to enable and synchronize off-site and on-site(O2O) fit-out operations management.(2) To investigate how smart technologies and solutions such as Internet of Things (IoT) / DigitalTwin (DT) / blockchain (BC) / cyber-physical systems (CPS) / Building Information Modelling(BIM) can be used to develop Industry 4.0-compliant smart prefabrication yard for enabling cyberphysical and spatial-temporal information visibility and traceability among different stakeholders.(3) To set up pathways for the substantiation, outreach and delivery of research impacts through (i)industrial impact pilots; (ii) a lab testbed with ""what you see is what you get"" facilities; (iii) technicalcodes, adoption roadmap, policy and regulations, good practice cases; and (iv) whitepapers,handbooks and case stories for workshop training of practitioners and experiential learning inaddition to traditional research outputs such as high impact publications.
