Grant Type
Research Impact Fund (RIF) 2019/20
Funding Year
2019
Status
On-going
Objectives
(1) To determine the optimal non-invasive brain stimulation paradigm for restoration of peripheralvision in patients with glaucoma;(2) To demonstrate that perceptual learning and non-invasive brain stimulation independently improvequality of life and restore peripheral vision in glaucoma patients;(3) To evaluate whether combining perceptual learning and non-invasive brain stimulation leads togreater improvements in quality of life, peripheral vision and functional performance than eitherintervention in isolation;(4) To explore the mechanisms of vision restoration after perceptual learning and non-invasive brainstimulation.
