Objectives
Socio-emotional problems in pre-school children are associated with psychopathologies in older childhood, adolescence and adulthood. Early intervention is advocated to prevent mental health problems in later life. Local culture heavily shapes the public’s expectations of children’s behaviours and emotional expression. Structured assessment tools developed overseas have not been tested locally
