Objectives
1.    To develop the optimum design mixes and investigate in detail how ashes content, different activators, water content, and curing condition affect the strength and elastic modulus of stabilized marine deposits by conducting uniaxial compression tests.2.    To evaluate the environmental impact of waste ashes on marine ecological system by conducting leaching tests.3.    To reveal the hydration and pozzolanic reaction process and quantify the hydration products by X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Computed Tomography (CT) scanning.                4.    To validate the application of using FA, SSA and GGBS in engineering practice by conducting model tests, full-scale field trials and numerical simulations on the capacity of different types of LHDM pile foundations.5.    To develop a design guideline that gives detailed suggestions including ash content, activator content and curing time for the engineering application.
