Objectives
1. Exploration of the band position and redox potential and conduction / valence band coupling with bandgap energy to provide the electrons transfer pathway and photocatalytic sites for bio-C2H5OH to H2;2. Transient absorption / fluorescence spectroscopy probing the dynamic decay in Z-scheme based polymer photocatalysts to figure out the interfacial electrons / holes trapping processes and active species lifetimes;3. Structural changes of atomic sites or functional groups in real time from time-resolved Raman spectroscopy;4. Knowledge and data of intermediates and transition state energetics of important reaction pathways from bio-C2H5OH to H2 generation and coproduction of acetic acid.
