Objectives
Disassemble the complex role of men and women when using MOD services and investigate intergenerational differences that affect the gendered preferences. Two key hypotheses would be tested separately:     a. economic power hypothesis (gender differences in mobility comes from women’s income disadvantages);     b. social roles hypothesis (social norms for different roles may regulate ""female role"" to assume more unpaid housework and family responsibilities that limit their mobility more than ""male role"").Uncover spatial heterogeneity of MOD mobility for women through examining the intersectionality between gender and their living neighborhoods.Simulate new MOD scenarios based on the integration of top-down models of gender dynamics in space and bottom-up agent-based modeling to predict the impact that different MOD plans may have on gender’s capabilities to move.
