Objectives
Compile a comprehensive dataset on environmental factors, ecosystem functioning/sensitivity, and multi-dimensional plant traits across diverse forest ecosystems, utilizing satellite time-series analyses, 3D LiDAR techniques, and high-spectral and highspatial resolution sensing techniques; Investigate relationships between different dimensions of plant traits and their individual and combined regulation on plant photosynthetic performance and thermoregulation; Explore associations among environmental factors, plant traits, and ecosystem functioning/sensitivity to understand how abiotic and biotic conditions regulate forest ecosystem response to climate change; Assess future ecosystem functioning/sensitivity by integrating current-day mechanisms (revealed in Objectives 2 and 3) with climate change scenarios.
