Objectives
The dissertation project is about the crime, victimization and migrants in China in general and violent crimes among migrants in particular. Migrants have been regarded as the main factors enhancing crime rates in Chinese cities. Different from the existing literature which is mainly focused on migrants as offenders only, the dissertation project will explore an important but under-researched social fact that both the majority of offenders and victims of violent crimes are migrants.
