I am an associate professor in the School of Economics and Finance at the University of Hong Kong.
I conduct research in several areas: econometrics, microeconomics, and data work. I have consolidated research across areas and facilitated cross-field communication. Broad interests allow me to take on diverse teachingassignments.
My primary research field is empirical industrial organization with a focus on structural analyses of auction data and other data sets in large market places. Currently, my published works examine two aspects of auction models: endogenous entry and information aggregation. I have also covered directed-search in executive labor market, pricing strategies in digital markets, competition in emerging NGO markets, information transmission and efficiency of foreclosure sales. My attention is always on strengthening the connection between theoretical models and data.
I did my PhD study in the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
