Prof Sherrin, Christopher Henry
Professor (Chair of Professional Legal Education) Christopher Sherrin LLM (London), PhD (London), Barrister (Gray's Inn) joined the Department in January 1993 and was Head from May 1993 until December 1996. He previously taught at the University of Bristol, the National University of Singapore, and the University of North Carolina. His main teaching and research interests are in the field of property law and he has written extensively on the law of wills, intestacy, and trusts. His recent publications include Williams on Wills (with F Barlow and R Wallington) (7th ed), Vol 1: 1975, Vol 2: 1000-2104 (1995); The Law and Practice of Intestate Succession (with R Bonehill) (2nd ed 1994); and Halsbury's Laws of Hong Kong, Vol 27: Wills, Probate, Administration and Succession (Butterworths, 1998). He is also the joint author of 'A' Level Law; the author of Hong Kong Legal Practice Manuals - Probate (Sweet & Maxwell Asia, 2nd Edition, 1998), and is a member of the Editorial Committee of the Hong Kong Law Journal. He teaches Equity and Introduction to Trusts and Property Law to LLB students, Conveyancing, Probate Practice, Landlord and Tenant, and Revenue Law to PCLL students.
