Dr Tam, Yat Hung 譚一鴻
Dr Tam Yat-hung joined the School of Public Health as Clinical Assistant Professor of Practice in January 2014. Dr Tam obtained his medical degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He joined the Department of Health, the Government of the HKSAR, in 2002 and worked at the Tuberculosis & Chest Service, Port Health Office, Centre for Health Protection and Primary Care Office. His work mainly concentrated in communicable disease surveillance, epidemiological investigation of disease outbreak and implementation of control and preventive measures, with special interest in field epidemiology. He received his master degrees in public health and in Buddhist studies at HKU, and in infectious diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He is fellows of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in the specialty of community medicine and the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of UK.
