Dr Ng, Yee Man Alina 吳綺雯
Dr Alina Ng is currently a Research Assistant Professor at School of Nursing, The University of Hong Kong (HKU). She is a registered nurse who obtained her BSN, MSc (Nursing), and PhD degrees in School of Nursing from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Alina has worked in academic institutions and hospitals with clinical experiences in cardiac care, oncology care, hospice and palliative care. She completed the Post-registration Certificate Course in Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing from the Institute of Advanced Nursing Studies, Hospital Authority in 2012.
Her research interests focus on transitional care, palliative and end of life care for people suffering from advanced diseases and for those with complex care needs moving between locations of care, such as from hospital to home. She has conducted the first clinical trial in palliative care to non-cancer patients in Hong Kong. She also participated in a collaborative research project in Scotland in 2016, which is about cross cultural comparison of end-of-life clinical decision-making.
