AbstractINTRODUCTION: Studies showed that home was the primary source of exposure to secondhand smoke for non-smokers who live with a smoker. In order to better protect infants from household secondhand smoke, we tested a family-based smoking cessation intervention by empowering non-smoking mothers to initiate household no-smoking policy at home and providing individualized stage-matched cessation counseling to smoking fathers.
