Abstract | Hot zone methodology is promising in the identification of hazardous road locations. While recent research efforts have been paid to the link-attribute approaches, few studies have been dedicated to event-based tools. This research introduces an event-based hot zone method on the basis of local K-function. The key steps involve dissolving link-node road network, segmenting road network into basic spatial units (BSUs) with equal interval, deriving the center points of BSUs as reference points (RPs), calculating local K-function crash value for each RP, extracting hot RPs (HRPs), and exam... |
