| Abstract | A CIM evaluation study was conducted for a machinery manufacturing plant in Hong Kong in 1987 by the CADCAM research group of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Hong Kong. The paper presents the methodology in conducting the CADCAM part of the evaluation study and discusses the factors that have significant influence on the final recommendations of the study. Further the study confirms that part survey is an integral part of this type of evaluation study. (A) |
