AbstractA generalized Fourier law is shown to follow logically from the principle of frame-indifference and the second law of thermodynamics. It can be used in the process of heat transfer in which a relative macroscopic motion is present between two sides exchanging heat. The classical Fourier law is recovered as a special case of it. © 1994.
