Abstract | Aim: To evaluate the dynamic function of lumbar spine in healthy people so as to provide helpful data for the future establishment of native database. Methods: A total of 120 subjects without history of low back pain in the past six months or any prior back surgery volunteered to participate in this study. The dynamic function of lumbar spine of each subject was assessed with the isostation B-200 according to the protocol provided by the manufacturer, and then the data were analyzed. Results: There were great differences in many indexes between the Caucasian population and the subjects in the present study. Compared with Caucasian population, Chinese subjects showed a significant difference in isometric maximum torque in all directions between male and female. Conclusion: The normative database based on the Caucasian population should not be applicable for Chinese population. There should be more normative data for the study of the Chinese, according to which some useful information for Chinese population should be established. |
