AbstractTransparent semipermeable polyurethane membrane was used in maintaining percutaneous biliary tract drains in nine patients. The average length of biliary tract drainage was 59.4 ± 45.3 days. The membrane was found to be useful and the complications associated with biliary tract drains were reduced. This technique has been well accepted by patients and the medical and nursing staff.
