Abstract | Systemic change refers to change that effects the institution as a whole. Achieving systemic eLearning change within an institute of higher education involves a complex process of transforming the socio-cultural environment so that eLearning becomes simply a part of the way that things are done within an institution. In this presentation we will analyze systemic change in terms of these two component parts – social change and cultural change – and critically discuss whether the notion of systemic eLearning change is a flight of fancy of a realizable reality. |
