AbstractINTRODUCTION: According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), anovulatory disorders are classified into 4 groups based on the serum gonadotrophin, oestradiol and prolactin levels. However, the conventional tests of ovarian func¬tion including serum gonadotrophins and oestradiol have considerable intra-cycle and inter-cycle variations and are subject to influence by exogenous hor¬mones. Recent studies have suggested that anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) is an alternative test of ovarian function without the above mentioned disadvan¬tages.
