Abstract | Hong Kong is a lifelong learning society, which offers intellectually enriching educational experiences to all professional practitioners. Undergraduate education puts great emphasis on foundation of Chinese medicine (CM) and basic clinical skills, but is lack of specialty training for complicated diseases. Therefore, the demands of high-quality CM services from society and CM practitioners are in urgent. School of Chinese Medicine (SCM), the University of Hong Kong is committed to the enhancing the clinical practice, boarding views on the specialties of CM, improving the research skills, and understanding the latest progress in clinical research in CM and western medicine for CM practitioners, physicians, nursing, and allied health professionals. With the incessant development of the continuing education, we are now providing the postgraduate educations (Master Degrees in Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, and Chinese Materia Medica), continuing medical education (CME), and Certificate course in CM with the different objectives (shown in figures). The continuing education in our school is committed to flexi-admission and rigor-exit mode designed to provide high-quality educational opportunities to all CM practitioners, physicians, nurses and allied health professionals. It has earned the recognition from the students and society. We are dedicating to improving the quality of the continuing education, educate more CM professionals for Hong Kong, and promote the development of Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong for a long run … |
