AbstractThis chapter introduces the application of Integrated Perceptual Approach in the teaching of Chinese characters, how this teaching strategy helps to enhance non-Chinese speaking preschoolers to learn Chinese as a second language in an effective way, as well as some suggestions for the arrangement of the medium of instruction, the design of classroom learning activities, classroom setting, effective teaching strategies which help to enhance students' learning motivation, provided with samples of classroom practice and a lot of exemplars.
