Abstract | Adipogenesis is a process of preadipocyte proliferation and differentiation by which the proliferative fibroblast-like preadipocytes developed into mature round, lipid-filled adipocytes. Treatment with agents effective in inhibiting adipogenesis is considered as a potential anti-obesity strategy, and among them the application of phytochemicals is one promising approach. This study indicates that two phenolics (oxyresveratrol, cyanomaclurin) inhibit adipogenesis most effectively of four phytochemicals tested. Without inducing cytotoxicity, triglyceride content accumulation ... |
