Abstract | BACKGROUND: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is rare in most of the world, but has high incidence and mortality in North Africa, Southeast Asia, especially in Guangdong, China. Smoking and drinking are well-known risk factors for head and neck cancers.
