AbstractAs a biliteral, trilingual postcolonial society, Hong Kong is constantly in need of multilingual talents. This roundtable paper outlines the learning difficulties facing the ethnic minority (EM) adolescents, and seeks to answer a number of questions regarding the challenges of teaching Chinese as a second language to EM students in Hong Kong for professional purposes.
