Review and Prospect of Chinese Medicine education in Hong Kong

Abstract

This paper illustrates the histor)’ review,current status analysis and future prospects of the development of Chinese medicine(CM) education in Hong Kong using the University of Hong Kong(HKU) as a case.Relying on the advantage that HKU is an international renowned comprehensive university,a standard and formal CM education system were established in HKU referring to the CM education experience in mainland China.HKU CM education system also combines the needs of both Hong Kong and international society,which is a reflection on Hong Kong characteristic.As the 334 curriculum reform launched in HKU,new teaching concept focusing on CM localization and internationalization has been introduced and explored in School of Chinese Medicine,HKU.

對香港地區的中醫藥高等教育,尤其是中醫藥教育在香港大學的歷史回顧、現狀分析和未來展望進行了闡述。依托國際著名綜合性大學香港大學的辦學優勢,參照國內中醫藥教育經驗,在香港大學建立了標準化、正規化的中醫藥教育體系,又根據香港地區特點,在上述中醫藥教育體系中摻入了香港社會和國際社會的需求。隨著334教育改革的推行,香港大學中醫藥學院引入了新的教學理念,注重本土化和國際化人才培養,并對中醫藥教育本土化和國際化互動現象進行了探索。
